A highly qualified team




Anna Jacobs is a Senior Political Officer with The Shaikh Group (TSG), focusing on the Track II Dialogue for Mutual Security in the Middle East. She is also a Non-Resident Fellow with the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington where she writes on foreign policy in the Middle East and North Africa with a focus on regional and great power competition, Gulf states, and North Africa. Her work has been published with the Brookings Institution, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, Chatham House, Al Sharq Strategic Research, and elsewhere.

. Prior to joining TSG, she worked as the senior research assistant at the Brookings Doha Center, an Academic Director for the SIT Study Abroad journalism program in Morocco, a lecturer in political economy and media at Rabat's Ecole de Gouvernance et d’Economie, and a political risk consultant. She received a Master of Philosophy in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford where she specialized in political economy, foreign policy, and Arabic. She is a Fulbright Scholar and a graduate of the University of Virginia.
